This “how-to” note provides an approach to integrating the USAID Sustainable Service Delivery in an Increasingly Urbanized World policy into Program Cycle processes. The document is divided into three sections. The first section describes the initial analytical process Missions should consider in determining whether urban service delivery is an important concern for their country. The second section guides Missions through a more in-depth analysis if urban service delivery is a relevant concern. Included in this section are links to tools and other resources that may be helpful as the analysis is conducted. Finally, section three provides specific tips for CDCS preparation; project design and implementation; and monitoring, evaluation, and learning. This “how-to” note will be periodically reassessed and updated based on feedback from Missions.
